Overview
Would you like Database Cleaner to automatically clean up your post meta data? With the Auto Clean feature in the Post Meta tab, you can quickly schedule regular cleanups for unused or orphaned post meta data.
Step 1: Go to the Post Meta tab
- In your WordPress dashboard, go to DB Cleaner in the left menu.
- Select the Post Meta tab.
Step 2: Enable Auto Clean in the Post Meta tab
- At the top right of the Post Meta table, locate the Auto Clean frequency dropdown.
- Click the dropdown and select your desired frequency (Daily, Weekly, etc.).
- The status next to the Post Meta menu will change to show AUTO when enabled.
Step 3: Confirm Auto Clean is Active
- When Auto Clean is active, you’ll see a green AUTO badge next to “Post Meta” in the sidebar.
- Database Cleaner will now automatically clean up post meta data at your chosen interval.
- You can always adjust or disable Auto Clean at any time using the same dropdown.
Important tips
- Double-check your selection: Only post meta considered “Unused” or “Orphaned” will be processed automatically.
