Overview
CodingBunny Image Cleaner is an add-on for CodingBunny Image Optimizer PRO. It provides powerful tools to automatically scan your WordPress Media Library and safely detect images that are unused, orphaned, duplicated, or missing. This guide explains the available options in the plugin’s interface for cleaning up your images.
Available Features
Missing Images
- Description: Scans your site for references to images that no longer exist in the uploads directory.
- Behavior:
- Offers Deep Scan mode, including background images in CSS, lazy load attributes, Gutenberg/JSON blocks, and meta fields.
- Detects references in post content, widgets, options, taxonomies, products, and more.
Unused Images
- Description: Finds images in the Media Library that are not linked to any content, product, taxonomy, widget, theme option, or plugin setting.
- Behavior:
- Displays a list of unused images, showing file path, preview, and file size.
- You can select which images to delete.
- Shows the total number of unused images and potential disk space savings.
Delete WooCommerce Product Images
- Description: Automatically deletes images associated with a WooCommerce product when that product is deleted.
Delete Post & Page Images
- Description: Automatically deletes images associated with posts or pages when the content is deleted.
Duplicate Images
- Description: Detects exact duplicates in your Media Library using a file hash (MD5).
- Behavior:
- Groups duplicate images by hash.
- Shows which images are currently in use, so you can safely select and delete duplicates.
- Indicates the potential disk space saving.
Orphan Thumbnails
- Description: Detects exact duplicates in your Media Library using a file hash (MD5).
- Behavior:
- Finds thumbnail files (e.g.
